Coco Bongo

“Acapulco, Mexico is known for its spirited nightlife, generous hospitality, and mountainous sights. As we embarked on our journey unfamiliar with the area, I can honestly say this city blew us all away. Waking up to the luminous water overlooking our balcony to the energetic night life, I think it’s safe to say we had the time of our lives thanks to the Copacabana. This resort offers beautiful beaches, water aerobics, volleyball and an array of delicious drinks! After we soaked up the sun on the beach and participated in some day drinking by the pool, we ate authentic Mexican food at the resort restaurant before getting ready for the night! Each club we went to was extravagant all including accommodating bartenders that were right there as soon as you needed another drink. What place is the coolest? While I can’t say for certain which destination is the best, here is your guide to answering the question why Punta Cana?

Punta Cana is especially known for their wide variety of all-inclusive spring break resorts. This place is an insane party scene for Spring Break that gives you an incredible show featuring the best of rock and pop. This atmosphere is one of a kind.

In Punta Cana, partying is not only for when the sun goes down. Your spring break can be filled with partying 24 hours a day.  Day parties are only  half the fun and you absolutely do not want to miss the daytime booze cruise. You get to see the island from a new perspective while snorkeling and partying the day away, sea-side. When the day is done you can return back to shore to continue the party, party time is endless.

The Barcelo Dominican Beach also offers an epic beach party! Starting at 11:00, the party goes until 4 a.m. with amazing drinks and music.

Spring break in Punta Cana offers beaches that are absolutely stunning. With miles of white sand and clear water, you won’t want to leave the beach. Grab the island’s famous Presidente beer, brewed locally in Santo Domingo. If you want a more active spring break, put on your snorkeling gear and take to the water! This all inclusive resort has everything you need to have a great vacation. Good looking Spring Breakers take over the resort for the entire month.

Starting when the sun rises, everyone descends into the pool area to start their morning off with a Michelada, a Bloody Mary with a Mexican twist, to keep their hangover away! The swim up pool bar bartenders expertly handle any drink request while you chill with your group and decide who gets AUX privileges. After a few hours in the sun, you head for a quick air conditioning break in Sports Bar and enjoy one (or a few) of their specialty Margaritas. If you feel like squeezing lunch in between, you can head to any of their lunch options. Choose from authentic pool side tacos, to fresh made pizza at Dos Lunas. Or if you can’t decide, the Buffet offers a little bit of everything.

Spend the rest of your afternoon partying at Oasis Beach Club. Claim a day bed, or just hop into one of their personal pools. This entertainment venue is only steps from the pool with incredible views of the beach and crystal blue waves. Everyday they host DJs, themed parties, and giveaways. Some of the most notable names that took the stage during this past Spring Break were Lil Jon, Jay Hardway, and Zara Larson. It is not uncommon to see Spring Breakers leaving the beach club covered in foam, colored chalk, or champagne.

Whether its your first meal of the day or your 15th, dinner is always a can’t miss at Oasis. You can’t go wrong at any of their 6 specialty restaurants, my favorite being Maki Taco. Their fried rice never gets old! Since its all inclusive, you can order as much as you need to satisfy your empty stomach. And since days not over, you need dinner to fuel you for the rest of the night!

Cancun Spring Break Nightlife

After dinner, the resort calms down a tad as Spring Breakers head to their rooms to take a quick nap and get ready for the rest of the night. Things pick up again around 9:30 PM as a band starts to play by the pool and the bar is shaking up new pregame drinks. After sipping on a 4loko or two, its time to hit the town! The clubs open at 10 PM and stay open until the last Spring Breaker leaves. They are just a quick bus ride from the Oasis, which is basically the start of the party. The buses fill up with Spring Breakers and plays loud music that pumps you up for a wild night.

Make sure to wear your bathing suit because chances are, if you’ve had enough to drink, you’ll end up in one of their pools. Coco Bongo is unlike anything you’ve seen before. This Vegas style show has you entertained all night long with musical tributes and extravagant performances. Finally, Senor Frogs Glow Party gets wild with glow in the dark face paint, fun competitions on stage, and non stop beer pitchers!

Oasis Brings Back MTV Spring Break

During the third week of Cancun Spring Break, MTV took over the Oasis to shoot footage for their newly revived MTV Spring Break special. If getting a chance to be on TV wasn’t cool enough, stars like Jersey Shore’s Vinny, The Challenge’s Johnny Bananas, and Wild N’ Out’s Justina Valentine hosted an unforgettable week. Spring Breakers got free MTV Spring Break swag and enjoyed wild performances from Lil Baby, Rae Sremmurd, and Tyga at Oasis Beach Club. DJ Pauly D even put on a private performance for Oasis Spring Break guests one night.

What’s it like to be on Cabo Spring Break? Cabo San Lucas is the ultimate Spring Break destination. From the moment the plane lands and you see the clear blue water and the amazing mountainous landscape you’ll be in vacation mode. As soon as you retrieve your luggage and head out to your transportation, there are multiple places to grab a beer or margarita for your ride to the RIU Santa Fe.

Cabo Spring Break Resort

The RIU Santa Fe is the best all-inclusive resort you and your friends could stay at. You walk in to a huge, open lobby with a cart full of Welcome Drinks waiting for your arrival. After you check-in and head into the resort, you see multiple bars, pools, restaurants and nine buildings full of Spring Breakers. Your room is stocked with a full fridge of sodas, waters and mixers for the four full bottles of liquor (Vodka, Rum, Whiskey and Tequila) that are included in your hotel-stay. Yup you have a bar in your room!

During the day, you will find everyone at the infinity pools overlooking the famous Cabo Arch and bellied up at the swim up pool bar. They have music blaring all day. The RIU specializes in a great party scene. Their brand new Party Pool features different themed day and night parties throughout the week. You won’t want to miss their White, Jungle, Neon, or Pink parties. There is a DJ, dancers, foam, huge bar area and two pools for you to enjoy the parties at.

Once 5 PM rolls around, the Taco Man is cooking fresh tacos right outside the main dining hall and if you want to go to one of the restaurants instead, it is first come, first serve starting at 6 PM, no reservations needed.

At night, you will find everyone pre-gaming at the lobby bars and sports bar before they head out to downtown Cabo. Downtown Cabo is only a 10 minute Taxi or Uber ride and all of the bars/nightclubs are right next to each other. Squid Roe and Mandala are the top spots to be at depending on the scene you’re looking for. Squid Roe is three levels of bars, seating and dancing areas with good music playing all night long. Mandala has a classier vibe with disco balls, dancers and high-end VIP tables with bottle service. The other smaller bars/nightclubs around the downtown square are great places to be like La Vaquita, Abolengo, Senor Frogs and Crush. There is no cover at any of the downtown spots so you’re free to hop around to place to place.

Cabo Spring Break VIP Experience

When you arrive at the RIU Santa Fe for Cabo Spring Break, you will be met by an STS Travel representative to receive your green wristbands. These wristbands give you access to STS VIP specials we have at the day bars and nightclubs. Start your afternoon off with 2 free margaritas at the Mango Deck from 12-pm – 2pm twice during your stay.
